Introduction & Lecture Preview

Key Focus: Understanding the errors of the past

  1. The quality of prior research can be estimated by re-testing the hypotheses

Lab Sessions

Primary Thought

• You will be required to use your Critical Proposal Effect Size (and maybe others) to calculate a Required Sample Size via a Power Calculation. The software G*Power will be used to do this. Step by Step guidance is offered to assist you with this.

Main Lab Activities

• Identify your ANOVA flavour and familiarise yourself with the elements included in the calculation

Module Milestones (by end of this week)

• Your Critical Proposal is due on Friday. You should have finalised your choice of Target Paper.

You have had a very successful start to the term. When we re-assemble after Reading Week, we will begin the process of bringing your studies to life. It will be fun, but come back ready to get after it.
